Family physicians today said Californians’ health care is seriously compromised by Governor Schwarzenegger’s veto of a bill that would have mandated more money spent on health care and another that would have made it more difficult for health plans and insurers to refuse to pay for care.

Fast Food Can’t Run or Hide in California

California is now a signature away from becoming the first state in the nation to require chain restaurants to post calorie counts on menus and menu boards. SB 1420 (Padilla), which affects chains with 20 or more locations, now moves to Governor Schwarzenegger’s desk for signature.
